Emmanuel Lafont
BUENOS AIRES 1980. VISUAL ARTIST AND IDEA PORTRAYER
His work is usually autobiographical or based on his particular perception of the world. In parallel he investigates about the mechanisms of creative process and on how the environment influences it.
He recognizes an unconditional love for graphite, ink and the most “artisanal” processes (drawing, engraving and sculpture), but the need to look for new languages encourages him to try different techniques and forms of representation such as installation or video.
He studied at the University of Fine Arts in Cordoba, Argentina.
She has worked as an assistant at the Art Center of South Florida (Miami) with the artist Annie Wharton, in the assembly team of the Contemporary Art Center of Malaga and as cultural manager developing multidisciplinary art projects in collaboration with theater directors, actors, musicians, video creators, writers and other artists.
Lecturer of Master Class in Animum 3D School, The Big Picture, School of Art San Telmo and in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Malaga.
He collaborates with different design, architecture and photography studios such as Narita Studio, The Mother of the Beatles (Málaga), Stone Design (Madrid), Creative Division (Barcelona) and ARTQ (Italy), illustrating editorial and multimedia projects, customizing furniture, and as a concept artist in general.
In 2014 he published his first illustrated album “LA OTRA MITAD / THE OTHER HALF” at the editorial CANICA BOOKS.
He currently works for gallery Yusto / Giner (Marbella), for gallery 6a (Palma de Mallorca) and for the Centro Andaluz de Las Letras, giving talks in different schools in Andalusia.
